Sean Cleland

Meet Attorney/Mediator Sean Cleland

When I passed the bar exam in 1996, I immediately focused my practice upon developing my courtroom skills as a litigator. Having experienced divorce in my family as a child, I decided that my calling was to help people and families dealing with divorce. I also realized that truly helping people deal with divorce required that I expand my skills beyond the courtroom. In 2008 I became mediator, which changed my perspective about how I could best help people dealing with divorce and family law issues. This change in perspective led me to become a collaborative family lawyer shortly thereafter. My passion for mediation as a way to resolve family conflicts led me to expand my mediation practice into helping families dealing with the conflict caused by the death or care of elderly parents and loved ones.
